A fix for chao portraits that sometimes stayed blank in the mode pickers — Karate, Race, School, Arena, Board and Clash — until you went back to the garden. Market thumbnails that could get stuck the same way are fixed too.
The emerald accent is cut glass now — lit from inside by a steady core instead of buried under a glowing ball — and a Light Chaos Chao keeps its orb as a halo behind it. Tinted animal parts no longer disappear, and every download is about 90 MB smaller.
The Emerald Catalyst is the third element, for a save that has finished everything. The first catalyst of each element is free. Try board gear on before you buy it, wear a full-face helmet as a head, and a Chaos Chao can finally say it is hungry. Plus a run of garden fixes: lanterns on posts light up, eclipse keepsakes glow violet, and a banked chao takes its embers with it.
Shiny metal chao — and gold, silver and onyx — went black in 1.5.0. They are metal again. The cause was the reflection map coming out empty, which quietly took a little light off everything else in the garden too.
Sand Ocean is the ninth board course — drop a step pyramid tier by tier, then ride a dune sea where the ground itself throws you. The Windows garden runs at 60 frames a second and the long freezes are gone. And board helmets finally fit the head they are on.
Aquatic Mine becomes a half-pipe you can air out of, with a goal ring and a trail that knows rock from water. Elemental particles sit on the chao instead of over its head, and take its accent everywhere. And the update prompt that would not go away is gone.
Aquatic Mine, the Chao Board's fifth course. Chao Clash shields, dodges, parries and weapon select. Elemental particles take the chao's accent colour. Fixes to previews, finishes and move gating.
Ten elemental weapons won from Chao Clash bosses, a sanctuary to store chao in, and fixes across finishes, the garden, Chao Board, Chao Clash and the Arena.
Chao Race, the Arena and Chao Karate now play against another person — online with a room code, or on your Wi-Fi with no server at all. Four finishes you have to earn. Crystal composes with all eleven jewels.
Eleven new Chao Clash bosses, thirty-six new elemental moves, and Chao Race rebuilt: eight racers, real start gates and routes that follow the ground. Happiness now does something, and chao walk around the things you place.
Elemental chao: eight elements, each with its own mark and its own behaviour. A crystal finish, elemental catalysts, and elements that change the garden around them.
Continuous bred colour, a metal finish on any colour, new breeding odds, a dev log in Settings, and fixes to pond movement and the Android update notice.
