Privacy

The short version: this site sets no cookies, has no accounts, carries no advertising, and nothing here is sold or shared with anyone. What it does collect is below, in full.

Last updated 17 August 2026.

The game and the website are different things

The game collects nothing at all. It has no analytics, no crash reporting and no network calls of any kind; your save file lives on your own device and never leaves it. Nothing on this page applies to the game once you have downloaded it — you could disconnect from the internet permanently and it would not notice.

This website is what the rest of this page is about.

Visitor statistics

The site uses GoatCounter, an open-source analytics service, to count visits. It records:

It does not set a cookie, and it stores no identifier that would let anyone follow you between visits or between sites. Your IP address is used to derive the country and to build a temporary, salted hash so that reloading a page twice is not counted as two people; the address itself is not stored, and the salt is rotated, so yesterday's hash cannot be matched to today's.

Because none of that identifies you, there is nothing to consent to and you will not find a cookie banner here.

The download counter

The download page shows how many times each build has been fetched. That figure comes from GitHub, which hosts the files and counts each one as it is served — a plain running total per file, with no notion of who fetched it. It counts cancelled and repeated downloads too, so treat it as a rough measure rather than a headcount.

The number is read once when the site is built and written into the page, so loading the download page contacts nobody and adds nothing to any total. It was last read on 1 October 2026.

Bug reports

The bug form is the one place on this site that asks you for anything, and it collects nothing at all unless you fill it in and press send. There is no account to make and no sign-in.

What is sent is exactly what you typed, plus a screenshot if you chose to attach one. Nothing is added to it behind the scenes — the form does not read your browser, your operating system or your screen size, which is why it asks you to describe your device instead of taking a guess at it.

The email field is optional and exists only so I can reply to you about the thing you reported. It is not added to any list, because there is no list. Leaving it blank does not make a report less welcome.

Submissions are handled by Netlify, which hosts this site, and they sit in its dashboard where only I can read them. They are not published, not shown anywhere on this site, and not passed to anyone. They stay there until I delete them; if you want yours removed, say so and it will be.

Things you choose to click

Two places on this site hand you to somebody else, and only when you act:

Links to itch.io, and to anywhere else off this site, are ordinary links — following one puts you on that site under its rules, not these.

Stored on your device

Nothing, unless you ask for something to be. This site's own code writes no cookies and no local storage whatsoever — there is no setting to remember, no session to keep and no account to stay signed in to.

One thing can be stored, and it exists so that the counting above can be switched off. Follow this link and GoatCounter's script saves a single value — skipgc — in your browser's local storage, and from then on it does not count you. That value is the only thing that script stores on your device: it is not a cookie, it holds no identifier, and it never leaves your machine.

Three caveats, because a half-working opt-out is worse than an honest missing one. It is a toggle, so following the same link a second time turns counting back on. It applies only to the browser and device you followed it in. And clearing your site data removes it, which quietly switches counting back on. The link goes to the front page rather than staying here, because the script only looks for it while a page is loading.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard web-server logs of requests — including IP addresses — for a short period, as essentially every web host does. That is a function of being reachable on the internet rather than a choice made here, and those logs are Netlify's under its own policy.

What is never done

Questions

This is a hobby project run by one person. If something here is unclear, or you want a report of yours deleted, the bug form is the most direct way to reach me — pick "Something else" at the top of it. The itch.io page works too.
