Chao forms
A chao's adult shape is two decisions: an alignment, set by fruit, and a type, set by whichever stat you gifted it most. Three alignments over six forms, 21 in all. Pick one to turn it.
These are rendered from the game itself, at the smoothing and lighting the garden actually uses. Genetics, accessories and mood are per chao and are not shown here. See face genes for the parts that vary.
NeutralNeutral
The default. A chao stays neutral unless you feed it Hero or Dark Fruit. Nothing else in the game moves alignment.
HeroHero
Alignment at +30 or above when the cocoon opens. Two Hero Fruit is enough from neutral.
DarkDark
Alignment at -30 or below. Dark chao wear their eyes lidded and slanted, which is deliberate rather than a mood.
Before it is an adult
Every chao passes through these, whatever it grows into.
